Editor’s Notes – May 2026

May 28, 2026

Dear Readers,

When I think about the entities that we were fortunate to profile this month, it struck me that there are many things that each of them has in common, despite being success stories in their own right. One element that glues them somewhat is that they are keenly focused on the future and are not looking back, facing straight on an economy that is rapidly changing. Embracing what this means and leaning in on company cultures that are both supportive and one step ahead of the competition, it is no wonder that the road ahead looks bright.

Forging ahead, we sat down with Strike Force. A leader in the commercial cleaning and facility management realm, this powerhouse has grown to represent a full-service company that excels in all areas from cleaning expertise to facility management tasks. It is cleaning the competition as it continues to grow.

From those who take care of facilities to those who build them, we sat down with two construction leaders, Hibbard Homes and the Simonds Group. Both excelling in the commercial and residential sectors, each has the design and construction expertise that drives top-quality work, always putting the client’s vision first.

Covering a diverse area of sector focus, we also profiled Pacific Formwork and Pennicott Wilderness Journeys to have a view of their ongoing priorities and continued success as we rapidly move into the third fiscal quarter of 2025.

From new construction, manufacturing, and tourism, to education and the health care sector, our May issue brings our readers in-depth profile features with Kalyna Care, Northern Coalfields Community Care Association, and South Coast Baptist College. Helping and guiding children and those in need, these institutions are thriving as they plan for future priorities.

As always, our editorial team looks forward to bringing you exciting developments across all business sectors in the region, and we enjoy producing leading sector-focused features that engage and inform our valued business readership.

We hope that our valued business leaders learn a little something new about their relevant business sector, as well as key developments in other industry sectors that may help drive their business model forward.
